Cancer starves on vegan diet

Sept 2019—According to researchers at Duke University, it appears that eliminating animal proteins inhibits tumors and a vegan diet paired with chemo or radiation halted their spread. Note this was a small study, using mice and a handful of people. And cancer isn’t one disease. But it appears there may be an amino acid specific to meat, dairy and fish that cancers need to grow. If you or someone in your family has cancer, it might be worth asking about this study, whether a switch in your diet might improve the prognosis.
