Circular economy micro-factories

August 2019—Yeah! The Ethical Corp has pierced their paywall so we all can benefit from their information. The May issue of their magazine is focused on the Circular Economy. One article that caught my eye is a person in Australia developing micro factories to recycled e-waste into other products, including materials that clean water. Too often, small communities are forced to act like Third World Countries, gathering up low-value raw materials, in this case, recyclables, for others to turn into value added products. Rural communities may not have land for gigantic industrial factories but micro factories could be a way to generate local jobs and reduce the transportation of raw materials.
