After Fukushima, Japan has been looking for alternative forms of energy. It appears they’ve just made a breakthrough with the Sea Horse, turbines designed to catch the energy of breakers. The engineers used Biomimicry, making the fins similar to those on dolphins. The can place them along breaker walls. If even 1% of the cost were used, it could be equivalent to 10 nuclear power plants. The energy density of waves is ten times wind.
