Three huge battery installations going online in CA
California has been rushing to install utility-sized battery systems in response to the massive natural gas leak last year. Three installations by three different companies are going online.
Battery prices have fallen but still have a ways to go to compete with natural gas peak-load plants on price alone, but they have other advantages. Climate, obviously. But also the ability to turn on and off instantly.
